After the resurrection, Jesus offer a final mandate, the great commission. Jesus instructs us to go out and make disciples, yet there are various cultural assumptions that often discourage us from sharing our faith. These include the idea that faith is not polite conversation. Our culture would also have us believe that it is especially egregious to offer religious convictions as a truth-claim. These issues aside, what does disciple-making actually look like? When we recognize the depth that disciple-making implies, it bring us to an understanding that extends far beyond a confession at the altar.
